A 150-acre wildfire was burning Wednesday evening in marshes on the eastern shore of Utah Lake, fire authorities said.

The blaze was on state land and burning through grasses covering deep mud and water near the lake shore, said Jason Curry, spokesman for the Utah Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands. Several engines and a Utah County Sheriff's Office boat were at the scene, but containing the blaze was challenging due to the location, he said.
