As flames from a massive California wildfire bore down on three firefighters, the trio took a moment to rescue an American flag in a moment that was captured in a powerful photo. 

The so-called Wall Fire has burned 5,800 acres in Oroville and is only 60 percent contained as of Wednesday, according to CAL FIRE. It has destroyed 41 homes and left 57 other structures destroyed or damaged.
