The Council of Western State Foresters (CWSF) Forest Products Committee is seeking information to help develop a Ponderosa Pine Symposium. The symposium's purpose is to enhance ponderosa pine utilization by sharing the latest research, success stories, information on emerging technologies, and resources to support the long-term sustainability and competitiveness of the ponderosa pine sector of the timber industry. The outcome will be a forward-looking roadmap that identifies potential actions to address key industry needs, foster innovation, and identify potential resources and support.
This Request For Information (RFI) will help CWSF refine the symposium and develop an RFP to solicit planning and facilitation services. The RFI is meant for entities that may be interested in submitting a proposal when the RFP is advertised and for entities that are not interested in providing planning and facilitation services but would like to provide information for CWSF to consider during planning.
Proposals should be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. MDT on October 18, 2024 to info@westernforesters.org with "Ponderosa Pine Symposium RFI" in the subject line.
